1. Product Overview
This Fudeng 3 Axles 40FT Skeleton Trailer is specially designed for standard ISO shipping container transportation. It can load one 40ft standard container or two 20ft small containers flexibly, widely applied in port transshipment, inland logistics yard delivery and cross-border highway cargo transportation for Africa, Southeast Asia and Middle East markets. Customers are allowed to customize axle quantity into 2 axles or 4 axles, and available lengths include 20ft, 40ft and 45ft according to local transport laws and loading demands. Its rated payload ranges from 40 tons to 70 tons, and heavy reinforced version can reach 80 tons maximum loading capacity.
Different from flatbed trailer with full floor plate, skeleton trailer adopts hollow open frame structure without solid cargo floor, reducing dead weight effectively to save fuel consumption and improve actual loading weight.
2. Main Structure & Raw Material
①Main beam is manufactured by high tensile Q345B high strength carbon steel, adopting heavy-duty I-shaped main girder with thickened upper and lower flange plates, featuring strong torsion resistance and anti-bending performance to adapt rough poor road conditions.
②Only cross beams for twist lock fixing are reserved on chassis instead of full base plate. All welding parts go through strict welding inspection. The whole trailer is processed with sandblasting plus electrophoretic anti-rust coating to avoid rust and corrosion under humid, dusty overseas working environment and extend service life.
3. Container Twist Lock System
Equipped with 12 sets of THT brand standard ISO twist locks, arranged in standard international container corner hole spacing to firmly lock 20ft & 40ft containers and avoid sliding during driving. Movable flip-type twist locks can be customized for mixed loading of 20ft+40ft combined containers as clients’ requirement.
4. Running Gear Configuration
- Axle: Standard 3 axles design, optional 2 axles for light load or 4 axles for over-weight heavy haul.
- Suspension: Two optional types: 10-leaf mechanical spring suspension (low maintenance cost, suitable for bumpy rural roads) or air suspension (stable running for high-grade pavement and delicate container goods).
- Landing Gear: JOST two-speed heavy-duty landing leg with 28-ton bearing capacity, steady supporting the trailer when disconnecting with tractor head.
- Tires: Standard 12 pieces tires; optional sizes: 11.00R20, 12R22.5, 385/65R22.5 to meet different country’s road access rules.
- King Pin: 2 inch standard king pin, 3.5 inch bolt-on king pin is optional to match various tractor trucks.
5. Brake & Electrical System
- Brake system: Dual-circuit air brake system fitted with WABCO original brake valve parts; ABS braking system is optional for improving driving safety on slippery rainy roads.
- Electrical part: 24V international standard whole vehicle circuit, complete tail lamps, side marker lights and integrated wiring harness complying with global vehicle electrical specifications.
